Lots of love and best wishes....

Shubho Bijoya to all my friends at home and across the globe .
Maa Durga has left her maternal abode tonight for a long journey home  , promising to be back for her annual visit  next year again. We look forward to it eagerly Maa !!
Ensuring that we are not left alone for too long she has paved the way for more festivities and joy...

Sindoor khela(vermillion )...part where all married women bid farewell to the Goddess.

Today being Bijoya Dashami  , Our idol immersed in Yamuna(Delhi)  or the Ganges(Kolkata) , its time for exchanging good wishes amongst family and friends , feasting together , visiting our elders to seek their blessings and of course eating too many sweets....too many enough to run away  as far as possible the next  time someones mentions "MISHTI KHABE "(will you have some sweets)!!!!

So keeping with the mood alive today I decorated my home with some lights and candles ....

I painted this terracotta Thali with acrylic paints and coated a couple of layers of varnish...

There is so much more fun in creating own festive display. My new found craze is playing with Terracotta .Painting anything terracoota I can lay my hands on :)

Keeping in tune with the oncoming Halloween...
With Diwali around the corner , more Diyas and candles will form center stage for decor ideas at  home.Stay tune my friends and keep sharing your lovely ideas. They are all absolutely fabulous :)
