A lovely trip to the South and back !!

Yes I know that its been a while I had posted my adventures here :)
As you scroll down you will know why I had been missing in action :) Off I had gone to a trip to the south !! :)
Looking back, this year was full of travels and adventuresStarted with our adventure to Grand Canyon to the wilds of Pennsylvania  , then the Horse shoe crab watch in Delaware beach , a trip to Ocean city and then we came back to India. Here at home front too there were a bunch of travels from  the Himalayas in the north to all the way to Kanya kumari :)The best part of this recent trip to south was taking the konkan Railways and passing through the innumerable tunnels and magnificient sceneries. And ofcourse with all this hopping around I had not missed blog hopping of all my favourite blogs :)
So sharing with you all just a couple of pics now.I have to do a seperate post for the padmabhaswamy palace in Nagercoil tho.It was really beautiful.
Come please have a look. These are ofcourse just a couple of pictures only ,Will share a few more now and then with you all soon ....

Kovalam beach , Trivandrum.

                                                    Meenakshi temple , Madurai

Some closeups of the intricate sculptures on towers

Though we managed to reach Perriyar wild life sanctuary but unfortunately the strike in Kerala over the perriyar dam issues dampened the rest of our trip in Kerala.:(

                                                      In Kanya kumari...

Pamban Bridge or as they say Rameshwaram bridge

Putting an Airport emergency sticker on the car we still managed to see Cochin and its historical harbors , the Dutch palace and the first colonial church build by Vasco da gama.Last but not least along with some authentic Kerala prawn curry  , Lip smacking Chettinadu chicken and  spices from Thekkady and  Madurai silk sarees purchased the trip was all in all a good one :)
With a few more days left for this year to bid us goodbye...I look forward to many  adventures to share with you all and equally go to many more adventurous lands with you ...through your camera lenses as well........
Stay well and take care until I come back....
Hugs

oh wow. The pictures look beautiful. Look forward to see and read your travel tales. :)

Isn't that the much talked about Ram Setu bridge in the last few pics?

Richa this one is Pamban bridge the one that connects the mainland with Rameshwaram Island.Ram setu or Dhanushkodi is not accesible now as it was destroyed in a Tsunami. One can take local people to take you to see dhanushkodi but from far .That infamous bridge is under water.

Wow!, what a wonderful trip, eagerly waiting to see more of the pictures, and the stories, and the things that you managed to buy during all your travels. Was your daughter having holidays at that time?
